Third course in calculus and analytic geometry including: vector analysis, Euclidean space, partial differentiation, multiple integrals, line and surface integrals, the integral theorems of vector calculus.

Students must be able to view assignments online, write out solutions, then scan or take photos of their written work and upload it to Moodle. 

Students with a Bachelor's degree will be assessed graduate level tuition rate for this course. However, one cannot receive graduate level credit for courses numbered below 400 at the University of Illinois.


Textbook

The required textbook for Math 241 is: Stewart, James, et al. Calculus: Early Transcendentals. 9th ed., Cengage Learning, 2020.

Purchase of a license for the course ebook and WebAssign HW suite is required. Please note this is separate from tuition. Ebook and WebAssign access are around $89 if purchased through the university webstore. However, students should wait to purchase access until after they begin the course (additional details are provided at the start of the course).


Testing

Exams: This course has two 90-minute midterm tests and a 3-hour final exam.

Please Note: Students currently registered in a University of Illinois Graduate Degree program will be restricted from registering in 16-week Academic Year-term NetMath courses. Matriculating UIUC Grad students will be allowed to register in Summer Session II NetMath courses.
